Resources for Multi-Door Mediators

This page provides information and resources applicable to all Multi-Door mediators. Mediators receive training on Division policies and procedures when joining a Multi-Door program roster. Updates are typically sent to active mediators via email. Additionally, each mediation program has its own set of procedures. Program-specific policies may also apply. Mediators should contact program staff if they have questions regarding Division-wide or program-specific policies and procedures.

Mediator Ethics

The DC Uniform Mediation Act and Multi-Door’s Code of Ethics provide ethical guidance for our mediators. Multi-Door mediators should contact the Division if they have questions regarding a specific situation or their question is not addressed by the UMA or Code of Ethics.

Continuing Education

Multi-Door mediators are required to complete 16 hours of mediation training during each two-year term to remain in good standing with the program, and two (2) of the 16 hours must be on mediator ethics. Mediators should contact the Division if they need a copy of the Continuing Education policy.
